We are an agribusiness company incorporated in Sierra Leone. Green Africa (SL) Ltd. We do corporate farming. We produce maize, pepper, rice, cassava, cocoa, coffee, benni, beans and other grains and vegetables. We are also interested in medicinal plants. We cultivate large central fields, but also support or buy from hundreds of small holders. We have organized the Green Africa Farmers Association. This is the biggest farmers association in Sierra Leone, comprising 500 small holders, who serve as our outgrowers. We have access to over 10,000 acres and our affiliates own over 20,000 acres all over the country.
We see our business as a social enterprise because we help to fight hunger and poverty through agribusiness. We help to achieve food security and raise the income of small holders in our post-war communities. We refer to this model as collective farming.
